PHNOM PENH, 10 July 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - US Secretary of State
Hillary Rodham Clinton will arrive in Phnom Penh on Wednesday afternoon
to attend the ASEAN Regional Forum and related meetings, the US Embassy
said.
The US State Department said earlier that Clinton was visiting Hanoi and Vientiane before flying to Phnom Penh.
In addition to attending the ASEAN Regional Forum on Thursday, she is scheduled to co-chair a meeting of ministers involved in the Lower Mekong Initiative and chair a separate meeting of the "friends of the Lower Mekong" on Friday.
Clinton is also scheduled to have bilateral meetings with senior Cambodian officials and travel to Siem Reap for a US-ASEAN Business Forum and a Lower Mekong Initiative dialogue on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
