PHNOM PENH, 17th June 2012 (Cambodia Herald) -Crooner Sapoun Midada may appear rarely in televised concerts these days but is now poised for a comeback with a new album.
"I'll soon release 'Return of Sapoun Midada' with all lyrics and melodies composed by Cambodians," he told Cambodia Express News (CEN), an affiliate of The Cambodia Herald.
Lyrics are written by Khemera Dar, Sokha Chanphal and Do Re while Sapoun Midada composes the melodies himself. The album is produced by Ke Seyha and Sok Chumnor, he said.
The Hangmeas Production singer, who also plays guitar, said he was now a little busy after disappearing from the stage and that he wants to spend time with his family.
"Cambodians in Australia, the United States and other countries want
me to perform but I haven’t decided yet," he said. "I'm busy recording
to rebuild my reputation."
