PHNOM PENH, 27 June 2012 (Cambodia Herald) – US computer giant Apple Inc announced
Wednesday the launch of iTunes stores in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and
eight other locations across Asia.
In a statement released in Hong Kong, Apple said the stores featured more than 20 million songs that could be purchased and downloaded. Customers can also rent or purchase movies including in high-definition format, it said.
In addition to Cambodia Laos and Vietnam, the other iTunes stores are in Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
The statement said all music is in iTunes Plus, Apple’s DRM-free format with high-quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings.
