A bad welcome by Thai authority to the Cambodian passengers at Poi Pet - Klong Leuk crossing border

My name Tho, a Cambodian student in Bangkok, Thailand.
After I read online newspaper and watched TV, I am very disappointed when Cambodian Prime minister Hun Sen welcomed Thai citizens with a VIP treat. I would like to share my experiences crossing the border at Poipet - Ban Khlong Luek. It is an unfair treatment from the Thai authority to Cambodian travellers. Two things I wanna share in here:
1) As Cambodia passport holders, we have to copy 2 papers of our passport to show to Thai immigration police. I don't see Cambodian immigration police asked Thai passport holders to do the same thing. In addition, Is there any agreement between these two countries that required Cambodian passport holders have to copy their passport identity for Thai immigration officers ?
2) For Cambodian migrant workers who hold Labor Book (Blue book/work permit) signed by the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and have visa issued by Thai authority, all Cambodian migrant workers who hold this labor book are required to pay an extra fee 200 bath or 300 bath ($10) after they crossed from Ban Khlong Luek immigration police office... there is another Thai police or custom office nearby. It is about about 100 or 200 meters from the Ban Khlong Luek immigration police. Thai immigration came to check travellers' identity, once they found out you are using labor book issued by Cambodian Labor Ministry and have working visa permitted to work in Thailand, that Thai officer will ask the Cambodian travellers to get off the Van or Bus. Once they are in their office, they will be asked to pay extra money. My question is: Is it in the law that Cambodian labor book holders have to pay this extra fee ?
In my opinion, if we go to Thailand with normal or work visa issued by Thai authority, we shouldn't pay any extra fee.. I don't understand.
I think the Vienna Convention in Austria have protected all this things.. I am asking, did any Cambodian consular officers in Aranyaprathet of Thailand know about this matter ?
If we go to Thailand illegally, I don't mind when their authority fined us money or arrested us on the way like this. In this case, the Cambodian migrant workers go to Thailand legally under the MOU signed between the labor ministries of Thailand and Cambodia.
Why the Cambodian government never care about these things with Cambodian travellers or Cambodian migrant workers who go to work or students who go to study in Thailand?
Why then when Thai citizen comes to Cambodia, Cambodia treats them like VIP visitors ? I really don't understand this.
In term of building the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, 10 countries in the ASEAN will share borders, cultures, technologies, life, experiences.......
At the same time, is Cambodia holds the ASEAN chairmanship this year, I am asking the Cambodian head of the government this question: Are you thinking to ask Thai immigration officers to stop treat Cambodians unfairly like this ?
I just want to share the real life stories which had happened on this border that Thai authority treated Cambodian travellers very bad.

Thailand treated khmers people like animanls...
Yes, the Thais treated Khmers badly when we were refugees in the 1980s. But now the Thais still treated Khmers badly, like killing Khmers along the border. But Hun Sen is so cheap and still provide Thai people with VIP and red carpet treatment, while they still treated us like dirts.
But we Khmer don't need to do like the Thai authority. We are pour, but we Khmer still proud of us and our ancestor gave us not very bad educational background and we still friendly to all other people.
Hun cent doesn't knows anything about fairness he knews how to kiss Siamee/Annamee stinky ass or chin ass,when come to Khmers Huncent doesn't cares.He loves to steal from khmers and give to others.Siam never treats khmers right,Siam killed approximately 10,000 khmers from 79s to these days....facts...or maybe more that number above!...

because Khmer police and Hun Sen can be bought by $$. The more $$ you have the less questions ask.
Khmer politicians will basicall sell anything to anybody as long as they get richer than the rest of us.

If you continue to go Thailand for job or study you will be treated like this never end.
Stop go to Thailand, stop study there, stop do slave labour for Thailand, without Khmer and Burmese labour most of Thai manufacturing will not survive. I live in Cambodia and I never set my foot in Thailand but I can survice why can't you guy, I have no land but I can go to study with NGO in agriculture now I own small plot of land and my English have improved, if you Thailand is better than you own country you will go to hell like this.
You guy made Cambodia undevelop and you contributed to Thai development shame on you.

Tho! Thai come as visitor but you go to Thailand to steal their job and to make them headaces and you let Vietnamese have your job at home, you are lazy even lemon grass you hardly gown on you own, you bought from Thailand and Vietname.
I went to Cambodia to visit my sibling I saw their backyard was empty no plant at all then I grow lemon grass for them and I told them I live in icy land in NZ and I can grow lemongrass and Kaffir lime. Only three months later the lemongrass was fully grown in their backyard and I return to NZ, after six month I return to visit them again and what I saw at their backyard was a mini desert.
I prefer not to have my own home instead I gave alot of money to them to start with but these fund was spent for entertainment instead of start business or agriculture product.
I never sent them money again and now they all became slave labour in Thailand
11:53 AM, Tho is a hardworking students who cross to study in Thailand because universities in Cambodia provide poor quality education due to corruption and the lack of funding.
Many people go to Thiland, not to steal Thai jobs because the Thais don't want to do the jobs that Khmers do. These Khmers are hardworking, not lazy like you said, because they have to risk their lives going to neighboring countries to look for jobs even though there a lack of jobs back in Cambodia.
The way Hun sen treated Thaksin and the Thai red shirts is a waste of Cambodian money. They way they visit Cambodia look like they owned Cambodia. Just look at the way they to go Angkor Wat for free and they swamped the temple like they owned it, I didn't see any Khmers in the pictures, only Thais and they go there for free. Hun sen provided buses and vans to transport them, deployed 4500 troops to protect them, while the Thais treated Khmers like dogs. This is wrong and a waste of money.
17 April 2012 11:53 AM. I agree with you. I have seen similar things too. DUMB Khmer prefers to buy things from Vietnamese and Siem, then later complains everything is expensive.
If its expensive, why not grow it!! I have families living in the province, but the land is always empty because they are lazy and prefers to buy items when it could be grown.
Not only that, DUMB Khmer prefers to steal things from their neighbours then to grow it too!! They prefer to steal, or beg, but to lazy to grow anything or do anything about it.
THis is why Khmer are DUMB and continues to vote for CPP. They will not do anything but then complains how much they hate YOUN!
if you think the education in Thailand is better than Cambodia I do not think so, there are many thousand of Thai student went to oversea for better education than Thai university in Thailand.
You can think better than this, Cambodian university was taught by cambodian and foreign who graduated as Dr or professor from USA, Australia, Canada and Western europ, Cambodia is full of Aseam member, every level must be equal regardless of everything. Thai university is not better than Cambodian university if you treated Khmer university as useless Thai will do the same.
Of course Thai university can absorb only student from third world country. In term of fund Cambodia can operate her university without any problem, the individual student should make extra effort to study and to research which is practice all over the world, no one is going to provide everything including the first world university.
In Vietname people who sent their children from rural to city to study and city people sent their children to oversea to study they have different preferences according to their resource and belive but Vietnamese government try to eleminate this image by providing equal work apportunity to people who graduated from home university and oversea university, on one is considered as better than other, Cambodia will do the same.
Regarding to Thai does not do dirty job is their problem. Instead of risk their live in Thailand why don't they risk their live to make Cambodia a better place.
We are more civilise and bigger than Thailand in term of culture and heritage, we are son of Khmer empire we have big heart and we are man than Thai people we show them that we give them the resource that our resource will never ever dry up, we show them that we are civilised, we are not like them using jugle law to shot and kill innocent people. We show them that we are not poor as thay are alway think, we spread our tolerance culture toward them, and we show them that we rich in culture and tradition and we proud to be Khmer.
Money is important but not important than we are colored as jungle people like them. Our tradition we are alway put water infront our home for travellers, this tradition was known through out the world.
I do not see Thai own Khmer I see day by day Khmer own them. We shown them that if you visit Cambodia we can secure your safety not like them they even can not secure their own people such as in the South.
1:32 PM, I don't want to look down on Cambodian universities, but this is the fact because of corruption.
Many Thai universities have been ranked among the top universities in the world, like Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University etc. The Thais went to overseas to study because American and UK universities have a higher standard than Thai universities, but Thai universities, not all of them, but majority of them, have a much higher standard than Cambodian universities, where degrees can be bought.
The the standards of the universities in Cambodia are very poor because of corruption. I know many people who bought degrees from Cambodian universities, one guy who is like a gangster just bought a master degree from one university from one of Hun Sen's lawyers who taught at that university.
Back to the way Hun Sen give a treat to Thai red shirts like they are VIPs is a waste of money, at least $2 million was spent for them. Khmers are treated like dogs by Thais, many were shot and killed along the border. Hun Sen should spend that money for poor Cambodians instead.
Folks, forget the past, let start all over again...Khmer/SIAM are one for all...OK!
