PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Free Trade Union leader Chea Mony (pictured) expressed positive remarks after Interior Minister Sar Kheng said the governor of Bavet was suspected of opening fire and seriously injuring three protesting factory workers last week at the Manhattan Special Economic Zone on the border with Vietnam, sources said Friday.
In a letter to the minister, who is also a deputy prime minister, Chea Mony praised the National Police in their investigation of the case and identifying the suspected gunman.
He also urged Sar Kheng and police officers to cooperate with judicial officials in tracking down the governor.
