AKP Phnom Penh, March 1, 2012 –Brunei has pledged to buy 1,500 tons of rice from Cambodia through the Cambodia’s KHAULA FUZI Co., Ltd. for 2012.
The pledge was made here on Feb. 29 by Brunei Ambassador to Cambodia Mr. Md Sufiee Abd Razak during his inspection tour to three rice warehouses in Kampong Chhnang province, some 90 kilometers northwest of Phnom Penh.
Beside rice, Brunei also pledged to buy more agricultural products from the province, said Mr. Nov Sary, Director General of Cambodia’s KHAULA FUZI Co., Ltd.
For his part, Kampong Chhnang Deputy Provincial Governor, Mr. Hy Nath expressed his pleasure over the news and said he will push the farmers in the province to boost their rice cultivation for exportation.
