PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Authorities from Phnom Penh City Hall agreed Thursday to release five Borei Keila residents on condition they stop their illegal protests, sources said.
The sources said the agreement came during a meeting between City Hall officials and three Borei Keila representatives, who vowed to stop protesting and work with authorities to resolve the land conflict.
Five people were arrested Wednesday during a protest by about 200 residents of Borei Keila and Boeung Kok in front of City Hall.
