PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Phnom Penh Municipal Court ordered former ambassador to Brunei Nan Sy (pictured) Thursday to return $332,000 and pay 150 million riel ($37,500) in damages to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Judge Ke Sam Ang also set a new date for a court appearance by Nan Sy, who is still at large.
In November, the court sentenced Nan Sy to four years in prison and fined him eight million riel ($2,000) for stealing more than $430,000 slated for the construction of an office at the embassy in Brunei in 2008.
