Opposition parties 'useless' Hun Sen says

Published: 09-Feb-12

PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) – Prime Minister Hun Sen (pictured) said Thursday that opposition parties had no ability to lead the country.
Speaking at the opening of a new building for the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, he described as "useless" the recent resignation of three Sam Rainsy Party lawmakers from National Assembly.

"The Sam Rainsy Party has three lawmakers to fill their positions and I knew their names," he said.

I a hunred percent agree with you. No one see Singapor as a small country. Let's make Cambodia better and bigger than Singapor. Now our priority is education, I mean quality education to be the driver of the economic developpement. Also Mr. Hun Sen could become a stateman if immigration, especially Vietnamese, is 100% under control. Yes investments, but not colonization please!

May I add that Cambodia needs a credible opposition party as an alternative to PPC. Cambodia needs to have choices to better our country. No progress, no development possible without democracy.

One party state is an insult to democracy...

Mr. Hun Sen, your doom is coming sooner than you think. Nothing lasts forever.

If you want to be part of a developing world and an acceptable state, democracy would open moor doors for investment to have a strong base in Cambodia.

USA a lot bigger then Cambodia only have 2 political parties and no one is owner, In Cambodia SRP Sam ransy is the owner, HRP Kem Sokha is the owner. Political Party become a business.

To 06:06 am

Hun Sen has the army, airforce and navy ,
the opposition parties do not.
Viet immigration is one of the tools
Vietnam uses to colonize Cambodia.
He wil be a Khmer HERO, unless and until
he DEVIETNAMISES Cambodia.

A Khmer Patriot

Let start by been civilize by not call our country leaders a dickhead. 06:06 AM I totally agreed with you. Hun Sen needs to reform immigration laws and follow through. He needs to protect our country sovereignty like he did against the Thai thief. He needs to get world communities to help us because we are small and poor developing emerging nation. Viets is too powerful for us alone. We can fight the Thai if we have to but not both Viets and Siam. That why we need the world help.
