PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Germany signed an agreement Wednesday to provide €1.2 million to the Victims Support Section (VSS) of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), the ECCC said.
The ECCC said it was the fourth donation by Germany since the VSS was established in 2008.
During the signing ceremony, Horst Triller, chargé d'affaires of the German embassy, expressed support for the ECCC and said that Germany would continue to financially support the VSS.
Kranh Tony, acting director of administration at the ECCC, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and support from Germany.
This financial assistance will be used for project implementation for the period from 2012 to 2013, focusing on legal representation, effective victims’ participation and information dissemination.
From the establishment of the ECCC in 2006 until 2011, Germany has provided around €1.9 million directly to the Victims Support Section to improve victims’ participation in the proceedings of the ECCC. In total, Germany has contributed almost €10 million to both sides of the ECCC.

Hun Sen government reportedly made $11 Billion in trade in 2011, yet they cant even pay for the court staff. Meanwhile Comrade Hor Nam Hong repeated made statement of no more cases in KRT then sending the official spokemen to ask international communities to milk more MONEY.
