On Thursday evening, a team of officials from the Human Trafficking Prevention & Suppression Center of Chonburi, -

led by its Director Mr. Pasisorn Noja, police from the Children and Women Rights Protection Department led by its Deputy Superintendent Pol. Lt. Col. Greeta Taan-ka-na-raat and officials from the Gra-joek Ngao Shelter, managed to arrest Mrs. Hiang, aged 32, behind the Made In Thailand Market on 2nd Pattaya’s 2nd Road. She was arrested for forcing 3 children that she claimed to be hers to beg for money. Furthermore, the oldest daughter has been offered for sale to many foreigners on the beach. The children are a 14-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy and a 1 year 3 month-old baby.

The name of their step father was reported as Mr. Jaan, aged around 45 - 50 who is still wanted, as he has been reported as offering the 14 year-girl for sale for 80,000 Baht. Fortunately, several good samaritan foreigners sent complaints to the police of this abuse.

The children were sent to a Children’s Shelter, and further investigations will be made, starting with finding out if Mrs. Hiang is their mother at all.
