Cambodian Armed Forces: hands tied between fighting invading Thai army and putting up with fools [and tycoons] robbing our people back home

Guards from TTY fired at protesters from the roof of a bulldozer.

Opinion by DCPPGUY [disillusioned CPP Guy]

This is his [Hun Sen’s] mistake in allowing tycoons to control their own private militias.  Rewind to 1930-1945, Nazi Germany had a similar but different issue, the Sturm Abeilung SA Storm Troopers of the Nazi which grew too strong and was challenging the Official German Military. Hitler was that paranoid it had most of the entire SA leadership led by Ernest Rohm executed by the Schutstaffel (SS : Protection Guards in Khmer equivalent: German SS = Angkarek Adolf Hitler), an event called 'The Night of The Long Knives'. Eventually Brigade 70 and the PMBU were integrated to the official Cambodian Military, just like The German Angkarek Forces of the Waffen-SS. The government is being very careless indeed regarding the issue of unauthorized company militias in allowing them to carry military grade weapons, it’s also a direct insult to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and it's was this situation that led Hitler to support the German Military over the SA. No leadership can make it without the backing of the Official Armed Forces. The PM needs to think very seriously now that without the RCAF, Special Brigades 70th and the PMBU he wouldn’t last. The bearer of arms should always be the official army, not some private militia which goes against the constitution, unauthorized militias will cause unrest.

Within the German HQ there were lots of disenchanted High Ranking Officers such as Major-General Henning Von Tresckow and Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg who made changes to Operation Valkyrie, continuity of government. Much of the original concept was changed by Count C.V. Stauffenberg. Its real purpose now was, in an event of a successful assassination of Hitler, to free the German Military and Security Forces of their oath of loyalty to Hitler. I Hope this is also the case of our military. Already there are signs that some are frustrated about the PM not doing enough regarding force evictions. If stupidity persists this situation may occur in the future.
Last but not least, I wish for nothing but hope for our military where everyone must choose between serving against the invading Thai Army and putting up with fools and idiots back home robbing our own people. It’s really sad for these uniformed men, with their hands being forced.

OPERATION VALYKERIE

Initial order to the Wehrkreise

I. The Führer Adolf Hitler is dead! An unscrupulous clique of party leaders alien to the front has attempted, under the exploitation of this situation, to fall on the backs of the hard-struggling front and to seize power for selfish purposes. II. In this hour of highest danger, the government of the Reich has declared a state of military emergency for the maintenance of law and order and at the same time has transferred the executive power, with the supreme command of the Wehrmacht, to me. III. With this, I order:

1. I transfer the executive power – with the right of delegation, on the territorial commanders – in the area of the war at home, on the commander of the army reserves under the simultaneous appointment to the supreme commander in the homeland war – in the occupied western area, on the supreme commander west – in Italy, on the supreme commander southwest – in the occupied eastern area, on the supreme commander of the army groups and the commander of the Wehrmacht eastern land for their respective area of command – in Denmark and Norway, to the Wehrmacht commander.

2. The holders of executive power have control over:

a) all sections and units of the Wehrmacht, including the Waffen-SS, RAD and the OT, within their area of command;
b) all public authorities (of the Reich, Germany, the states and the municipalities), especially the entire law enforcement police, security police and administrative police;
c) all office bearers and subdivisions of the NSDAP and those of its affiliated associations;
d) the transportation services and public utilities

3. The entire Waffen-SS is integrated into the army with immediate effect.
4. The holders of executive power are responsible for the maintenance of order and public security. They especially have to ensure:

a) the protection of the communication
b) the elimination of the SD (Security Service).

Any opposition against the military power of enforcement is to be broken ruthlessly.
In this hour of highest danger for the Fatherland, unity of the Wehrmacht and the maintenance of full discipline is the uppermost requirement.
That is why I make it the duty of all commanders of the army, the navy, and the air force to support the holders of executive power to carry out their difficult task with all means at their disposal and to guarantee the compliance of their directives by the subordinate sections. The German soldier stands before a historical task. It will depend on his energy and attitude whether Germany will be saved.

(NOTE: Valykerie was a failure, which led to the execution of most involved, but it also taught Hitler a lesson of not screwing over the military. Most of the German Army fought well until the war ended on 1945. Paralleled to our own situation, even though it’s for their own [CPP’s?] sake. Khmerization, please post this up for others to see, and please edit it because it’s all over the place. I HOPE OUR COUNTRY SEES THIS AS WELL) DISSILLUSIONED CPP GUY

The Interior of Ministry is just going to have those security guards re-educated. And that they are sorry. That's it. We all know how this goes.

This is what Hun Sen should be worry about. People uprising of course, but many tycoons who are well protected by their own militias. Hun Sen can have all the army he wants, but when you have so many serving you only for their own well being. It only means they are more than willing to serve those who can provide their needs.

To those that lost their land; their life! You have to fight back! You need to have a strategy. A strategy on how to execute your rights, defend yourself and others, unite, use violence in an efficient way, i.e. Cambodia is hosting ASEAN. Use that to your advantage and keep the pressure. And last but not least, what is your exit plan?

This is so ridiculous. The private guards are ahh HS's armed bodies for hire. Nothing exist without his consent. It's funny how people think they're separate and not blame the dictator.

It is sad to see Cambodia like this. It seems Khmers get hit from all side. The Vietnamese kills them, the Thais kill, and their own Khmer people kill them. When Khmers learn to respect Khmers, so that other may respect us?
