PHNOM PENH, December 8, 2011 (Cambodia Herald) - Cambodia and Vietnam agreed Thursday to ensure justice to immigrants living in each other's countries.
The agreement was contained in a joint statement issued at the end of a three-day state visit to Cambodia by Nguyen Phu Trong, secretary general of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
"The two sides will continue to facilitate immigration fairly," it said, adding that Vietnam "deeply appreciates and sincerely thanks the Royal Government of Cambodia and its people for their care which allows Vietnamese immigrants to live legally in Cambodia."
Opposition parties in Cambodia often claim, especially during election campaigns, that the government allows illegal Vietnamese immigrants to live in the country.

Yes, for sure the Viet gov't must have this agreement, they have to have it. There are about THREE to FIVE MILLIONS of Vietnamese in Cambodia, and only a few of Cambodian in Vietnam. If I am a Vietnamese, I will do everything to have this agreement. It is so pathetic for our Cambodian government to agree with the Viet.
Khmers are slaves in their own land.. We Khmers abroad can see it and we need to help. Spread the words and take action now!!!
