The father of an 18-year-old girl who he said had been missing in Malaysia for more than a year, has filed a complaint with the rights group Adhoc against the labour firm that sent her there.
Minh Ngi, 46, from Preah Vihear province, said yesterday the Philimore recruitment agency had not contacted him since promising to put him in touch with his daughter, Sun Sreyroth, six months ago.
“I heard that house owners mistreated housemaids and some others died in Malaysia. We are very concerned after hearing such information.”
