“Faced with major flooding which currently affecting the Kingdom of Cambodia, France has decided to help its people by supporting the work of the French Red Cross in Kampong Thom, one of the most affected provinces,” said a press release of the French Embassy in Cambodia issued on Thursday.

“An assistance of US$80,000 will aim at funding a project covering needs of flood victims in that province, indicated the press release, adding that 1,800 families will get food aid for a period of one month and will receive emergency kits to face up to this critical situation,” it said.
