Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra has arrived in Phnom Penh at 3:40 pm for an official visit to Cambodia, bringing with her a large delegation of senior Thai ministers.
She was whisked away to the Peace Palace where a big reception has been organised by Prime Minister Hun Sen to welcome her and her delegation.
The two leaders have sat down to discuss a wide range of issues in a closed door meeting and the large crowd of local and international media were kept waiting outside.
DAP News live reports have indicated that the Thai PM has asked Cambodia to release the two jailed Thais, Veera Somkwamkid and Ratree Pipatanapaiboon, but Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen is still considering the request for a royal pardon.
Prime Minister Hun Sen has told Yingluck that Cambodia cannot withdraw Cambodian troops from the 4.6sq km because it is a Cambodian territory and that any decision on this issue has to wait until the decision by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The Thai PM Yingluck said Thailand will abide by the ICJ decision.
PM Hun Sen has requested both sides to negotiate in a frank and open manner on the maritime Overlapping Claim Area (OCA) based on the MOU signed by the two countries in 2001.

នៅវិមានសន្ដិភាព សម្ដេចនាយករដ្ឋ មន្ដ្រី ហ៊ុន សែន ព្រមទាំងមន្ដ្រីជាន់ ខ្ពស់នៃរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាល កំពុងទទួលបដិសណ្ឋា កិច្ចស្វាគមន៍ ដោយភាពកក់ក្ដៅ អមដោយ កងកិត្ដិយស វាយឮសណ្ដំយ៉ាងអធិកអធម នៅវិមានរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលដ៏ស្កឹមស្កៃ ។ ជា មួយគ្នានេះ ក្រុមអ្នកយកព័ត៌មានជាតិនិង អន្ដរជាតិជាច្រើននាក់បាននឹងកំពុងតាម ប្រមាញ់យករូបភាពនៃថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំប្រទេស ទាំង ពីរ ។

Dear PM Yingluck,your one day state visit in Cambodia started a little late already at almost 4 PM. Would you then please spend the night in Phnom Penh, please!? Tomorrow morning the sun will be brighter yet the day will be sweeter and you might have chances to meet another Khmer PM's eternal friend. Wouldn't you want to see who that guy will be? Hence all three of you will be eternal friends of course! Don't mind about Abhisit,whatever he may murmur in Bangkok!.
