Many Khmers overseas have circulated emails urging the Cambodian Diaspora to attend a protest against Prime Minister Hun Sen when he attends the UN Security Council Meeting in New York in the middle of this month.
Members of the opposition Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) in Europe and America are sending emails urging Khmers throughout the world to protest against Mr. Hun Sen who has been accused of being a dictator who ruled with an iron fist for 32 years. "Please be informed that PM Hun Sen will join the meeting with the UN Security Council in new York on 13 September 2011. Please welcome him there on the date and place", a member of the SRP in Norway wrote in an email to party members around the world.
Mr. Sam Rainsy, the exiled SRP leader, and many Cambodian Diaspora have been predicting some sort of a people power revolution in Cambodia, similar to what had happened in some Arab countries, notably Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. Some people, like Mr. Ou Chal, a graduate of the Sorbonne University in Paris with a doctorate degree, have been very active in urging the Khmer people inside the country to rise up in a Lotus Revolution to topple Mr. Hun Sen from power.

Stand up Khmers overseas. We must show to Hun Sen and the world that we want him out of power. A dictator like Hun Sen has no place in Cambodian politics.
Khmer oversea, stand up and fight against the Lotus Revolution. Show you courage behind your prime minister. Don't let this fool (Sam Rainsy) blind you because all he wanted is power for his group. Sam Rainsy doesn't care about stability of the country. If there is protest at the UN, Khmer should have counter protest at the UN too against the Sam Rainsy Lotus Revolution.
Prime Minister, you are welcome in United States. We wil counter protest the Lotus Revolution infront of the UN security counsel if there is protest from Sam Rainsy side. We will not allow them to cause instability of Cambodia. United States will not pick side when they see the mix oppinion among it people. Cambodia doesn't want Lotus Revolution. Bring it on, let see what you got.

Not all Khmer oversea think like Sam Rainsy. We help Cambodia by sending money to our families, building temples, schools, offer foods to the army at the border, education scholarship, provide free healthcare at children hospital at Siem Reap etc. Khmer oversea donated these monies. All of them loves their country very much althought some have different ideology. I am not a supporter of Sam Rainsy and I think the guy is idiot and doesn't want to see stability of the country. Khmer oversea doesn't side with Sam Rainsy; there are some and there are Khmer that approve the current leader of Cambodia. Don't make general statement that Khmer oversea doesn't help rebuild the country.
I agree with above statment. If all Khmer oversea against Hun Sen; he will not stand. There are Khmer oversea that support him and lobby the US government and other governments that is why you see him still standing. We are not with the Lotus Revolution crab. We want Cambodia stability and economic development. It times to make monies not war. We done war enough already.
Cambodia and her people cannot afford another instability or war.

Your delusional dream will not materialize, you are committing and act of treason and the US gov't ought to toss idiots like you in jail.

I think Hun Sen is too afraid to come to the UN because he hasn't come for many years, only send Hor Namhong because he is afraid that Sar Kheng or Sok An might stage a coup to topple him. He is too afraid to leave Cambodia these days because he is too paranoid and is afraid of a coup against him.
All of us should put an effort to reduce corruption in Cambodia. We all know each country, on this earth, has some type of corruption, but Cambodia rank below average compare to rest of the world. Let's welcome HS to NYC and ask him to help Cambodia corruption level index to an acceptable rank by 2018. No need for revolution, because it cannot garauantee or improve corruption index by 2018. Let' s capitalize on economic growth for the next 6 yerars.

When cambodia is in peace and prosperity people trying to destroy our country and tear each other apart...Especially, people lived abroad they suppose to help rebuild our country not destroying our country? But when cambodia is sinking oversea people ran away and hidding abroad...just like they did in the past!!
to the comment above; you statement is very harsh to those former refugees that fled the country; they were pushed to walk on landmine by the Thai soldiers and were abused, beaten in the refugee camp. they didn't betray you. khmer abroad doesn't want war, they wanted peace.
If the local Khmer have this mentality; we will not find common ground. many khmer abroad were forced to became refugees due to war. However, they never forget Cambodia and went back as soon as they gather their life abroad, went back to visit and send money to families and help others as much as they could. Khmer abroad doesn't think like Sam Rainsy; we wanted to see peace, economic development and we don't want Lotus Revolution. If Khmer abroad plays important roles in rebuilding Cambodia. Don't paint a broad picture that all Khmer abroad wanted to destroy Cambodia, we wanted to see Cambodia strong because it is our homeland too.
To people who lived abroad! If you guys think you could do better jobs than Mr. Hun Sen, please come and help country we will welcome you with open arms...Don't jus bad mouth and hated...
Khmerization only bringing the information to share with the public. I noticed couple times that they seem to side with Sam Rainsy and turned this forum to become KI-media. I hope they don't go back to KI-media. I noticed that they started to favor Sam Rainsy group then others such as posting poems, any dirt of Cambodian government. I guess it is normal for news to do.

Hun Sen might be in a big embarrassment if large number turn up in New York against him. It means Khmer people are against their PM and it means he is not an acceptable PM to Khmers.

Hun Sen was right! If Lon Nol and bunch of other idoits didn't over thrown King Sihanouk, there's no Khmer Rouge or Killing field in cambodia...Khmer people should stop their hatred, stop killing each other, stop tearing each other...apart! I'm not Hun Sen's fan, but as long as my country is in peace and prosperity...thats all I care about!

These are traitors of their own race. The only thing these people are interested in is their own glory.
