Many people said it was impossible to topple Suharto, Mubarak and Gaddafi. Now they fell one by one, so Hun Sen is not immortal, his day will come. No one will live forever and no one will rule forever. Hun sen wanted to build a political dynasty like Mubarak wanting his son to succeed, Gaddafi also groomed his son to succeed, Kim Jong-il of N. Korea has also annointed his son to succeed. And Hun Sen is grooming Hun Manet to succeed him by appointing him to senior positions within the military and by asking him to make public appearances and visiting troops and do charity works. This is a dictator's way to build up a political dynasty.

Look, there is nothing wrong in grooming up Hun Manet. Did Hun Sen gave power to his son without election? I guess no right?
Let examine another family that you might think differently because they are from Western country. For example, Bush family. All his sons are in government such Gov. of Florida, Taxas and then became the President of United States after Bush senior lost election to Clinton and the younger Bush came back to defeat the vice president Al Gore. These people groom their kids up like PM Hun Sen is doing. Why don't you call them dictatorship? Hun Manet didn't become president of Cambodia yet but you quick to call them dictatorship. Would you rather have those public official with the worthless sons going around on shooting spree? I would be honor to have Hun Manet as president of Cambodia. He is more than qualify to lead the country. However, Cambodia has election. He will have to win in election in order to become president. The problem, we don't have any competition to head to head with him so opposition tried to say, they are dictatorship. This is a bunch of bullshit.

10:56 AM, you can't compare the Bush family to the Hun family. George Bush snr never appointed his sons to any positions, they all are elected by the people of Florida and of the U.S as a whole. Hun Sen appointed Hun Manet to brigadier general, then to major general, then to lieutenant general, then commander of the anti-terrorism unit, then to the deputy commander of the ground forces and then to deputy commander of Hun Sen's bodyguard units...so on and so on. On the other hand, all the Bush's children are elected by the American people. Just wait and see, Hun Manet will become commander-in-chief of Cambodian Armed Forces, a minister of defense or minister of something one day, appointed by his father, not elected by the Cambodian people.

Governor position is elected position. They must win in the election. Military positions are appointed position. Have you seen election for military position in US? Do you research before you bark.

11:21 AM, It's true, but did you see any American presidents or other elected leaders appoint their children as military leaders, like commander-in-chief? You are barking at the wrong tree by trying to compare Hun Sen's children to George Bush's children. No elected leaders appointed their children or relatives to military positions, only dictators like Hun Sen, Kim Jong-il and Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein etc. Look at Hun Sen, his brother Hun Neng is the provincial governor, his nephew-in-law Neth Savoeun is the police chief, his son Hun Manet is commander of many, many positions in the military. All his in-laws like Sok An is the deputy PM, his other in-law, Yim Chhat Ly is also deputy PM so on and so on. His other in-laws like Hok Lundy, Meuong Samphan hold very high positions in the police and military. This is the difference between George Bush and Hun Sen because Bush was democratically elected and Hun Sen was a dictator who came to power through the barrel of a gun.

you can not compare srok khmer with the US. why? because srok khmer now is like the US during the 1800's or maybe the 1700's. now we are like during the time when The US was a cowboys days. we are not even be able to stick our head out from khmer rouge days yet.so why do we want to have a stupid revolution for. you went over your head to think that khmer kill khmer.yes there are too much yuon influx to our borders. look at it. the yuon took our land and the west do nothing and when the chinese do business in our country the west move in and when we make friends with china the west fleet move in.what it tell you??but when srok khmer land shrink to yuon and siam the west do nothing. another words the west allow small countries to eat the weaker smaller countries to get big enough to challenge china.so now what my khmer comrades? should we start watching our backs or what.

You know what, if you guy wanted revolution so bad, then bring it on. We will see how much destruction it can bring to Cambodia. Since you guy are so hard head wanted to change at all causes. Bring it on man! We are here waiting for your group infront of Phnom Penh. We will see who got guts. If you can't bring it on, you should stop barking. A dog that bark, doesn't bite. Lotus revolution is just air revolution in Sam Rainsy dream. You can't mobilize anybody so you just keep crying outside the house and asking super power to do your work for you. Khmer people are too smart to fall for your stupid revolution crab.
