Hun Neang, the 90 year-old father of Prime Minister Hun Sen has received a knighthood from King Sihamoni.
Today, Wednesday 7th September, King Sihamoni signed a royal decree bestowing Hun Neang a knighthood with the royal title of "Neak Oknha Moha Peakdei Saporisphokeathipadei" (The most loyal and the most generous lord).
The royal decree says that Mr. Hun Neang has made physical contributions, moral contributions and generous financial contributions to Buddhism, the nation, as well as many achievements such as generously helping the poor and the destitute throughout the country.
The royal decree bestowing the knighthood was delivered to Mr. Hun Neang's hospital bed at Calmette Hospital by Palace Minister Kong Sam Ol.

នៅក្នុងព្រះរាជក្រឹត្យ បានឱ្យដឹងទៀតថា លោកព្រឹទ្ធាចារ្យ មហាឧបាសក ហ៊ុន នាង បានបរិច្ចាគកម្លាំងកាយ ចិត្ដ និងទ្រព្យធន ប្រកបដោយសទ្ធាជ្រះថ្លា ដ៏ជ្រាលជ្រៅបំផុត បូជាចំពោះព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនា និងសង្គមជាតិ និងបានជួយកសាងសមិទ្ធិផលនានា ជួយឧប ត្ថម្ភដល់ជនក្រីក្រ គ្មានទីពឹងទាំងឡាយប្រកប ដោយមហាសប្បុរសធម៌ មនុស្សធម៌ដ៏ឧត្ដុង ឧត្ដមនៅទូទាំងព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា ។

More comedy for you to laugh,but this is the reality of Cambodia politics under a totalitarian Hun and clown King Sihamoni.
With these two hybrid absolute powers of Hun's autocratic regime and monarchy,they believe that Cambodia will be pulled out of the sun orbit and they can do what they want.Cambodia is belong to them.
It is very insulting to all democratic institutions,but how long it will last that is the real question.
From this issue alone you can tell how much and how shallowed mind of people that are running our country.They don't really care about people and country all they care about are their palaces and their power.

SMU university in Texas, handed a PHD degree to Former First lady whom she never step foot on the campus.
4:07 AM, true but in the U.S the honorary Ph.D was given after they have gone through a committee thoroughly of what the person had done to the society before the degree was offered and normally they just get one, not 10 or 20 like what Bun Rany, Hun Sen or other leaders in Cambodia had gotten.
Also the Ph.Ds that Bun Rany or Hun Sen got are from unknown universities or universities with bad reputation, mostly from Cambodian universities or universities from poor or communist or dictatorial countries. Back to Hun Sen's father, it is a joke for him to get this royal title because they guy did nothing to the society at all, except created a ruthless son like the first person said.

I hardly imagine how can those Khmer recipients be proud with their PhD Drgrees bestowed by
those obscure "Universities?.It seems those "PhD people" turn crasy with their Wealth, Power and worthless Diploma.
