"Brother Number Two" Nuon Chea (4th L) and former Khmer Rouge foreign minister Ieng Sary (2nd R) sit at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) on the outskirts of Phnom Penh June 29, 2011. The four most senior surviving members of Cambodia's murderous Khmer Rouge regime went on trial for war crimes on Monday, three decades after its "year zero" revolution marked one of the darkest chapters of the 20th century.

Ed Royce, a House Republican from California, said the UN-backed tribunal in Phnom Penh has cost millions of dollars, tried only one man, and was leaving Cambodians in America frustrated by its lack of effectiveness.
“There is an expression used in the US, ‘Justice delayed is justice denied,’” he said in an e-mail Friday. “I’m afraid that may be the case in Cambodia.”
The court has come under increased criticism for its handling of the cases against Khmer Rouge leaders, including from victims groups in the US and Cambodia.

I have expressed my concerns in the past regarding the Khmer Rouge trial. Have you ever wonder why resignation protest and 003, 004 case brought forward without trial 002? I believe there are conspiracy to what happened. People were fightings and pointing finger at each other etc. KR tribunal point finger at the government and the government dont want any more case to move forward beyond 002 etc. Why bring those cases(003,004) in the mix at this stage? Why can't the tribunal focuses on the case at hand which is 002 and it is the most imnportant case? Now the tribunal started the case 002 and interesting things already surfaced but there were varieties to excuses from defendence not attending the trial and irregularity from the tribunal. KR tribunal talked about lack of money to prosecute the case further and the defendence witnesses were not shown up on the list etc. Now we have respresentative from US saying "Justice delayed or denied". What is the real deal behind the KR trial? I also wonder why KR tribunal trialed "duch" as 001 case? Why it didnt put "duch" case as 002 and trial Eang Sary, Eang Thirith, Keop Samphan, and Noun Chea (brother number 2) as case 001? I have alway thought it was some type of conspiracy behind the method. Now it shown more and more delay tactics from the KR tribunal, the KR leaders are old and sick. May be, the KR tribunal thought that those leaders would die before it can finish "duch" case? and KR tribunal doesnt need to trial those leaders if it can delay further because those old leaders might get sick and died. Finding more delay tactics make sense by bringing 003,004 case to create confusion or missing witnesses list requested by defendence, and lack of money. What else could it be? Who is really implicate in the KR trial? If this is like a movie; we have seen the the preview from Noun Chea opening statement which indicated very interesting implication that the world haven't heard before.
