VIENTIANE, May 30, 2011 (dpa - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Laos and Cambodia have agreed to discuss border issues, including surveying and addressing drug trafficking in the remote area, the state-run Vientiane Times newspaper reported Monday.
The two governments agreed to more work related to border surveys and demarcation, the daily said.
Other measures included improving collaboration between border agencies and improving border facilities to help maintain order and make legal crossings easier.
The countries share a 540-kilometre border in a region where the Mekong River flows from Laos into Cambodia.

I'm glad PM Hun Sen lash out at Lao, Myanmar. He said, don't laugh at, happy-joking at cambodia, when you seen cambodia invaded by Thailand...Your home is next!! Don't be so happy....
I've been in Vientiane(vienChan),Lao. I knew cambodia is poor country, but Lao is worst than cambodia...I think Lao don't stand a chance to fight with cambodian...
Cambodia and Laos are friends for centuries. They never had historical problem with each other. Matter of fact, they help each others. Rumor is, Cambodia is interest in leasing Sre Ambel seaport near Sihanoukville to Laos for shipping trade. Railroad tracks are being built with connection to Laos and Sre Ambel. Both Laos and Cambodia tie should be closer.
Don't try to stir up problems between the two. Both Laos and Cambodia will come to an agreement without resort to violence. Cambodia will never attack and invade a country like Laos. Cambodia has only 2 enemies, Thailand and Vietnam.
