More than 89 army officers have been promoted because of their achievements in their mission/works in the past.

The promotion ceremony was held under the auspices of Defence Minister Tea Banh at the Ministry of Defence on Thursday, 2nd June.

The minister praised and lauded these officers for their heroism and contributions to the defence of Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity against the Thai invasion.

In early April, 100 army officers, including Prime Minister Hun Sen's son, Hun Manet, had been promoted to the ranks of generals.

I bet these officers never go to University or military academy. In fact, they never take any military courses or training. In the west, to be officers you have to finish university or military academy and also completed the field training.
