Indonesia has proposed to deploy the Indonesian observers in 3 locations inside Cambodian territory on the Cambodian-Thai border near Preah Vihear temple, in an attempt to ensure a permanent ceasefire between the opposing Cambodian and Thai troops.
Mr. Koy Kuong, spokesman for the Cambodian Foreign Ministry, told RFA on 13th April that the Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Marty Natalegawa (pictured) has sent two separate letters of proposal to Cambodia and Thailand. He said he doesn't know the content of Dr. Natalegawa's letter to the Thai foreign minister, but in the letter to Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Dr. Natalegawa has proposed to deploy Indonesian observers in three locations inside Cambodian territory. He said the Cambodian foreign minister, Mr, Hor Namhong, has already agreed to the proposal. "I wish to tell you that today, the Foreign Ministry has issued a statement stating that on 12th April His Excellency Hor Namhong has received a letter from His Excellency Marty the foreign minister of Indonesia stating about the new term of reference for the deployments of Indonesian observers along the Cambodian-Thai border. In the letter, His Excellency Marty has proposed for the deployment of Indonesian observers to 3 locations on the Cambodian side: First at Pram Makara, second at Ta Sem and third at Chak Chreng", he said.
He said Cambodia has made a concession in order to ensure a permanent ceasefire. "This is a new will from the Cambodian side based on the spirit of respecting the ceasefire that can lead to a peaceful solution. And on 13th April, Mr. Marty has sent a letter to Mr. Hor Namhong and the Thai foreign minister stating that he is very pleased with Mr. Hor Namhong's response", he said.
Mr. Koy Kuong added that the Indonesian foreign minister is still waiting for the reply from the Thai foreign minister to his proposal.

After was defeated and lost capital city to Ayutthaya Cambodia have to abandon this temple Angkor wat temple we only known the name but we never study because it not in our history textbooks we never study how our neighbor lost their capital city , the truth is we invaded the Angkor wat and Cambodia have to move their capital city to Phnom Penh .
It not in our history textbooks and we should overhaul our history textbooks in the past we never have the borderline like this day and a lot of talk about the staircase to Preah Vihear from Thailand because in that time no(Thailand Laos Burma ) only the Khmer empire .

After Cambodia got independent King Sihanouk asking Thailand to return Preah Vihear to Cambodia and we refused and end up with King Sihanouk took the case to ICJ and we lost the case it look like the black hole that we never get out from it.
We fallen to the black and we don’t have the ability to get out I think may calm for now Cambodia really happy they have been successfully register Preah Vihear temple as world heritage it is a victory in Khmer culture and there’s a big celebration in Cambodia because the temple are Cambodia hearts if we look at every regimes in Cambodia lon nol Khmer rouge there’s always the temples is on the flags don’t, ignite it will burn it is a symbol of Cambodian hearts .
Hun Sen government set priority on Preah Vihear temple as a duty of the nation every airport in Cambodia always a picture of preah Vihear temple to show everybody the temple is duty of the nation .

I would say Preah vihear temple is our internal politics is Thai with Thai use Cambodia as the scapegoat it is the first time in our history Thai society is divided I and DR Surachart talking here nobody listen I am quite concern.
We and Cambodia have borderline 800km we should have the clear borderline in the past 100 years we haven’t get it done yet . it really easy to negotiate with Cambodian government because Cambodia have only one government not like us too many sides .
In the past we talking about sovereignty but today we talking trading a few years ago the Thai actress and Angkor wat issues we lost a lot we have a big investment in Cambodia .
As professor teaching students I would say history textbooks are very importance we should know the real history.

To my opinion the borderline is a new issue to our region if we turn back time before the colonization people in the region do not known what state they really belong to until one day westerner come and have the new ideas and started we want to know where the borderline and a lots of treaty happen around the world it have disadvantage to some and advantage to some if we say can we take back what we lost the answer is no it been long time if we ask Cambodia Laos agree to redrawn the borderline it not possible the changing of the borderline must agree by country involve and we have to accept that in the past Siam agree to pay a small price to keep siam if Siam not willingly accepted to sign the treaty May be today I am really fluent in French and English .
A lot of people said we have different document I don’t think so we’ve the same document as Cambodian have after we lost the case ( but I do not want to use the word lost a lot people may not happy with me) the reason we lost the case because we have accepted the annex map and the Preah Vihear temple is in the sovereignty of Indochina after France show us the map we asked france to print some copy of map for us as the evidences .

The ICJ ruling “ preah Vihear temple is under sovereignty of Cambodia I repeat preah Vihear temple is under sovereignty of Cambodia “ if you say Cambodia only got the temple not the land surrounding may be not true after the ruling Thai government redrawn the map and leave Cambodia with only the temple but not the surrounding land .
After the ruling our government at that time address the nation “ event we disappointed with the verdict but we willing to accept the verdict and let Cambodia have the sovereignty over Preah Vihear temple”.
I think the right to appeal is 10 years but we never appeal until now day look like we accepted the verdict .
Prear vihear temple successful register as world heritage it not mean where is the borderline end.
If you ask me we use force to occupy Preah Vihear temple we cannot be the rightful owner otherwise we will be outlaw country .

Innocent ignorant or lack of genuine history text book is understandable. But to have a (motherfucking) guy with a degree from Oxford pretending not to know SE Asian history is a big embarrassment to ASEAN as a World Entity. Especially if that guy is happen to be a PM of the ASEAN Co-founder nation don't you Thai academics agree? I have Oxford Encyclopedia of SE Asia history in pdf form which I read from time to time.It also is a big embarrassment to a prestigious university of England. It is easy to wake up an asleep man but you can not wake a pretending sleeper up that easily.Power hungry could turn an intellectual to become a dirt cheap soul worthy enough to be Thai PM only. That is why he is willing to work for his military establishment boss.This person has no shame but has big (un)fame of receiving shit bags from his own citizens.
