The Kampuchea Themy Daily reported that Russia, China, France and India have offered their supports to Cambodia's position to have the Khmer-Thai border conflict resolved through legal channels and France has offered to make available Cambodia-Thai border maps to any nations interested to have them. However, Thailand has rejected France's offer outright.

Thai troops had provoked a fight: Front line troops reported that at 10 p.m on Wednesday night, 9th February, Thai troops attempted to provoke a fight by throwing hand grenades at Cambodian troops at Phnom Trop, but Cambodian troops did not respond. The next morning, on Thursday 10th, Thai troops had thrown 3 more grenades at Cambodian troops, but, again, they did not respond.

At 3:10 p.m yesterday, Thai fighter jets had flown very close to Cambodian borders and over Preah Vihear temple.

Thai residents at Sisaket opposed visit of yellow shirts: Thai residents of Sisaket province has staged a small protest against the planned visit of the Thai yellow shirt People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) to area. The residents blamed the PAD for causing the fighting with Cambodian troops which have brought them troubles and affected their life and livelihood.

They have held placards saying:

1. Your group has created the war.
2. You have caused misery for our families.
3. You are not welcomed here.

In Sakeo, opposite Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey province where 7 Thai trespassers were arrested on 29th December by Cambodian troops, there are also protests by local villagers against the PAD.

That's 4 out of 6 infavor of Cambodia's legal resolution to Khmer-Thai conflict. It's no surprise that America and Britain aren't joining the UN top dog members with this border issue resolution between Cambodia and Thailand. This is a reason why Thailand did what it has done with its aggression toward Cambodia in an attempt to retake Preah Vihear. With all the hush hush political backing from American and Britain, Thailand is getting away with breaking the international law by waging war with Cambodia for the sake of taking back Preah Vihear.

To my beloved Khmer who made the previous comments and many more through out the topics.I know your enormous frustration toward the US and the Brits who seem not to be sensitive enough to the Khmer cause.Yes you can even be resentful toward them but be wiser why don't we try to win them to our side by study them. You got to know how to tame elephants before they allow you to use them or even to let you to get close to them. My dear Khmer, the Thai tame this magnificent elephant for 130+ years. But remember, our ancestor built Angkor right? They are smart people while the Tais still slaves. My friend you are all Kaun Khmer. You have to be smarter than Thais. I wish I can talk to you guy more. But I don't even trust this site.

I want to clarify if I offend this site owner or team owner, if they are genuine Khmer.I was talking about the internet security measure when I said I don't
even trust this site. I have to proceed cautiously because it is a sensitive matter when my talk related to the superpower, now you got the idea.

It is very important for "Kampuchea Thmey" to be careful when stating the support from these superpowers. It is very sensitive issue.

I don't see Australia either?? I thought they built nice embassy there cus they care about Khmer? But where are they? And Vietnam to???

Guys, I read somewhere, I'm not sure if it is Deum Ampil or Koh Santepheap, which reported that Australia is willing to contribute troops to use as a buffer zone in the Preah Vihear areas. We can't blame Australia much because it is a small country- I means small army, small economy and does not have much influence in the world. But if we got Russia, China and France- that's 3 out of 5 of the UN Security Council members already.

It must be very hard for the wild tribe who used the
raiding looting and plundering skill as their daily living habit to change into a civilized citizen of the modern world. It all hardwired into their brain. You would think that their past encounter with their Angkorean master and the Buddhist environment had some impact on them, but apparently not.

9:16PM, I like to add a little more facts to your comment, if you don't mind. Way before the founding kingdom of Sokhutai/Ayuttaya, Siam and later Thailand, Siyam(Siam) was a small tribe of people migrated from northern India and lived as theives and robbers. When Mongols invaded China, the Tai(Thai) tribe of Yunnan province of China, sought refuge with Khmer. Mostly Tai settled at modern day, northwestern Thailand. When Champa(modern day central Vietnam) invaded Khmer in 12th century, Siem and Tai were recruited by Khmer King Jayavarman 7 to help fight the Cham invaders. After 20 years of fighting, Khmer defeated and conquered Champa. Siem and Tai earned a previlage to live freely as Khmer citizen. By then, they have already became Khmer. Khmer prophecy had predicted that if Siem/Tai were to have a kingdom, it will play a major role in the deteriation of the Khmer empire. The prophercy was correct. When Khmer empire was slowly becoming weaker and weaker, the Siem/Tai became stronger as one group and beginning to fight Khmer for their own independence. BY early 15th century, Siem/Tai created their own kingom from captured Khmer territory. Afterward, Siem was on the path of every front to expand its territory. Siem/Tai were fighting Burma, Malay, Issan/Lavo(Laos), and Khmer(Cambodia). By 1939 Siem had its names changed to Thailand. Thailand still carry its own old mindset as the old Siem(Siam) kingdom

This is a little short history for those who curious about the nation of Thailand of who and what these people are.
