these two parties were competing each others during 2008 elections. they were overconfident that their party would size a considerable amount of votes, but the emotional reaction to disappointing result, they decided to create a joint force for next election. but it has never happened until now.
they should do a study on political tendency of Cambodian people to find the best way. they should not rely on a selfish opinion.
In my point of view, Cambodian people are very conservative. it is hard for new party to have space in cambodian politic. SRP survive because of the collapse of Funcinpec and Buddhist liberal Democrat party. But every time, one old party disappears, its supporters will divided between CPP and SRP. And CPP always gets more.
These are people's choice.They do their best to gain people trust day-by-day.People seem to fad with old system.
