Sources from Preah Vihear province have claimed that Thailand had increased their troops along the borders with Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces after Thai troops had shot dead one Cambodian logger and arrested another 3 loggers who have been logging along the border on 23rd and 24th January.

The Thai 2302nd Company had deployed nearly 100 troops in several locations, with between 30 t0 50 troops in each locations in Thailand's Khun Hean and Khantharalak districts in Sisaket province, opposite Cambodia's Tropeang Prasat district in Oddar Meanchey province and Choam Ksan district in Preah Vihear province.

Mr. Toch Ra, chief of Cambodian-Thai Border Relations based at Choam Ksan Checkpoint in Anlong Veng district, said the body of the dead Cambodian had been kept in a hospital morgue in Khantaralak in Thailand, while the three arrested Cambodians were still detained in the town.

At 5 p.m on 23rd January, at least 19 Cambodian loggers went to log at the 50th border point near O'Choup Malu in Khun Hean district when they were ambushed by Thai gunmen who shot at them indiscriminately. Sources said that the group was led by Capt. Rithy, an army engineer from 3rd division, along with another soldier named Pol Tap. But some sources said the officer's name was Capt. Ngeth Ngorn, who live in Tropeang Prasat district.

The three male Cambodian loggers arrested by Thai troops were 30 year-old Dok Dam, 30 year-old Phorn Phan and 36 year-old Heam Thann. The other 16 loggers have returned back to Cambodia safely after spending the whole night travelling through the forests.

Well, let not keep the Siem waiting too long. Cambodia, you'd better mobilize your troops now and start quietly positioning them to the areas where Siem are locating their troops. Siem desperately wants war with Cambodia, let's welcome them with open arms. Give them what they ask for.

When we kept silent, the Thais think we are scared of them and they will continue to trample on our head. We must show them that we are not going to stand still and let them punch us repeatedly. The insults and the humiliations we received from the Thais are ridiculous, so we must show them that we will fight back.
