Phnom Penh – The Cambodian Ministry of Defense (MoD) had dispatched tanks to the border in what seems due to threat from Thailand.

A high-ranking official of the MoD claimed on 28 Jan morning that a number of tanks and weapons will be sent to the northern border this morning. This official added that this is not a dispatch of military forces, but only a preparation for the defense of territorial integrity in response to the irregular situation taking place due to Thailand.

Other source claimed that Cambodian troops along the border in Preah Vihear are on alert as it is learned that there are suspicious Thai troop movements.

The changing situation comes at a time when the Thai Yellow Shirts demand that Cambodia remove its flag from Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak, and also when Thai troops are being reinforced in a number of areas.

Tanks don't do any good in thick jungle like that; it is only be destroy by Thai A10/F-16/F/A-18. Best to fight Thai with what Khmer are best at and that is insurgency and low density warfare.

Reserve tanks for fire support and close fire support.....

It is true because also the area has no road system and accessibility, so tanks can't move easily. Thai fighter jets will destroy them all. However, if we mobilize our heavy military hardware such as tanks and long-range artillery, the Thais will think that we are serious about fighting back and that will make them think twice before bullying us.

Yes, you are all a good observer. Lets start from the higher up, the lazy fat one who just sat on their fat ass and does nothing but control. If we are going to fight, don't let the rich bastard run off like chicken shit. Fight together to defend our country.
