Cambodian Action Committee for Justice and Equality (CACJE) has released a statement calling the 7th January, the day the Vietnamese army ousted the Khmer Rouge regime from power in 1979, as the day of a second destruction of Cambodia after the 17th April Day, the day the Khmer Rouge takeover of power in Cambodia in 1975.The CACJE's statement was released to coincide with the celebration of 7th January Day by the ruling Cambodian People's Party to mark the 32nd anniversary of its victory and the ouster of the Khmer Rouge from power.
