A group of 79 Democrat MPs on Friday filed a petition initiating the Constitution Court review on two Thai-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission reports, seen as a contentious issue.
The petition was submitted via the Office of the House Speaker.
MP Sirichok Sopha (pictured), a lead sponsor of the petition, said he wanted to clear up the confusion over the classification of the two reports which made no headway despite a series of deliberations by Parliament.
Legislators could not draw a conclusion whether the documents should be classified as international agreements to be vetted by Parliament as per Article 190 of the Constitution or progress reports done under the framework for negotiations already sanctioned by Parliament, he said.
