Anthony Kang (pictured) of the United States is set to return to the US$300,000 Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open next week.
The Phokeethra Country Club has been the host venue of the full field Asian Tour event since its inauguration 2007 and it is also a place where the 38-year-old Korean American has enjoyed significant amount of success there too.
"I've been there the past three years and I've had some success with a couple of top 10s there. So it's a course which I enjoy playing on and it'll be nice if I can pull off another Asian Tour victory in Cambodia next week," said Kang.
"It's a destination which I enjoy especially when the pro-am dinner is held at the temple grounds and we always make time to visit the Angkor Wat temple during the week," added Kang.
Kang enjoyed his best result in 18 months by finishing fourth in Hong Kong last month and is determined to extend his rich vein of form as the Asian Tour season heads to a close.
"My form is good so I'm looking forward to playing well in Cambodia," said Kang who has ventured to play in Europe for most part of the season so as to gain greater playing experience globally.
Among the other big names confirmed the US$300,000 full field Asian Tour event include defending champion Marcus Both of Australia, Singapore's Mardan Mamat and Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant who jointly holds the most number of Asian Tour victories with compatriot Thongchai Jaidee.
As the penultimate event on the Asian Tour Schedule before the season finale Black Mountain Masters in Hua Hin, the spotlight will also be turned on players with a fighting chance to earn their full playing privileges on the Asian Tour next season.
They will be aiming for a good finish to stay inside the top-60 so as to keep their Tour card for 2011.
