Cambodia's prime minister has arrived in China for an official visit that's expected to culminate in the signing of 15 agreements. Hun Sen said prior to his departure that the deals include the creation of a coal-fired power plant in a coastal province. China is a key
ally and donor to impoverished Cambodia. Chinese companies have invested in Cambodia in fields such as energy and agriculture.
Hun Sen is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and top lawmaker Wu Bangguo during his five-day stay. Xinhua News Agency said Monday that Hun Sen was also expected to visit former King Norodom Sihanouk, who is in Beijing for medical treatment. (AP)
