Bangkok Post

The army has donated 300,000 baht (~$10,000) to Cambodia to provide assistance to families of festival-goers killed and injured in a riverside stampede on Monday night.

Army chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha (pictured) handed the donation to Col Tea Sorachhay, the Cambodian military attache to Thailand on Friday.

The army also offered its condolences to the victims and their families.

Panic spread through a crowd using a bridge to reach an island in the Bassac River in Phnom Penh for the annual festival marking the reversal of the flow of water between Tong Le Sap lake and the Mekhong River, resulting in a stampede which killed 347 people and left hundreds more injured.

Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha is very kind and thoughtful, but we Khmer have enough money and resource to help each other.

We are not quite sure how one hand of your hands had some blood on Khmer in Thailand and other giving small gift to my people.

We would like to thank you personally for your generously, but please pull your troops back from Khmer soil and please treat all Khmer that are working in your country as slaves as human as possible.

If Thai people want to show that you are noble and civilized nation, you must ask question about yourselves how you came to be Thai.

Do you know that Thai has taken Khmer land and khmer people. There are at lease 2 millions Khmer blood are still survive with its culture up to present day in Thailand?

90% of Thai alphabets are Khmer alphabets and more than 40% of Thai language are consist of Khmer words?
Show the world that Thai are Buddhist nation that obey Buddha principles.

let's me remind you that flip-flop and bared-foots Khmer soldiers never want to invade Thai or thinking about claiming Khmer territory back.
Khmer are behind in wealth and prosperity, but we are dignified nation.
