Tath Marina: A documentary about a beautiful girl's life destroyed by an accid attack

Tath Marina was a promising young and beautiful actress and karaoke singer. At the age of 16, she was at the height of her career when her beauty had caught the eyes of a middle-aged married government minister, Svay Sitha. He followed her to every filming locations and begins a secret relationship with her. However, their secret love affair was discovered by his jealous wife, Khoun Sophal, and one day ten years ago she had organised a brutal accid attack on Tath Marina. Eyewitnesses said that Khoun Sophal's bodyguards had held Tath Marina down while she poured accid on Tath Marina's head and body.

There are reports that Khoun Sophal had lived a normal life in Australia under an assumed name. Many Cambodians who knew her said she used to own Banteay Srey Grocery, which later changed its name to Hak Seng Grocery, on the corner of Park Road and Hughes Street in Cabramatta, a suburb located in western Sydney. She has now sold the grocery shop, but people who knew her said she is still living comfortably in suburbs around Cabramatta. Those who knew her whereabouts should report her to the Australian Immigration Department for immigration fraud for using fake name to immigrate to Australia and for horrendous crime committed in Cambodia.

Tath Marina's tragic life and brutal accid attack was chronicled in a true story book, titled Tath Marina's Destiny, written by her uncle, the famed 1970s composer/songwriter Kong Bunthoeun. After the book was published, Kong Bunthoeun was threatened by Mr. Svay Sitha and started to receive death threats until he escaped to Sweden. He is now living in exile in Sweden because of threats from Mr. Svay Sitha.
