Cambodia's opposition leader and head of the eponymous Sam Rainsy party, has over the years, been subjected to threats, intimidation and even assassination attempts. Sam Rainsy (pictured) is a former Cambodian finance minister and has lived overseas for more than a year. He was sentenced in absentia to ten years in jail by a Cambodian municipal court for spreading disinformation after he accused Vietnam of encroaching on Cambodian land. Sam Rainsy is currently in Australia and he's calling on Australia to push for change in Cambodia.
