The Cambodian Appeal Court has ordered the release of journalist Ros Sokhet on Thursday afternoon after he was serving nearly a year in prison for extortions.
Judge Pol Sam Oeun had ordered Ros Sokhet released at 2:30 p.m on yesterday afternoon after a 30-minute hearing.

41 year-old Ros Sokhet, was sentenced to two years in prison in November 2009, after he allgegedly sending threatening text messages to fellow journalist Soy Sopheap. He had always maintained his innocence.
