Cambodia's National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin left for a visit to China

Mr. Heng Samrin (pictured), chairman of Cambodia's National Assembly, has led a high-powered parliamentary delegation to China, flying off from Pochentong International Airport at 8 a.m on Wednesday morning.

The delegation was seen off by government and parliamentary officials as well as China's ambassador to Cambodia, Mr. Pang Guong Su.

It was not clear about the official purpose of the visit, but according to the media report, during the 6-day visit from 20-26 October Mr. Heng Samrin and his delegation will visit Chengdu city, the cultural village of San Cheng, attend the West China International Forum, attend the official inauguration of the Great Palace of Jin Liang, visit Mt. Emei and Mt. Golden Summit.

The visit of chairman of Cambodia's National Assembly came after news that chairman of China's National People's Congress, Wu Bangguo, will pay an official visit to Cambodia on 3rd of November.
