Prime Minister Hun Sen has on the morning of Tuesday 28th September agreed to meet with Thai Ambassador Prasas Prasasvinitchai at the Office of the Council of Ministers in Phnom Penh.
Mr. Ieng Sophalleth, advisor to Mr. Hun Sen, told reporters that during the closed door meeting, the Thai ambassador told PM Hun Sen that he is determined to push for a good co-operation between the two countries in the fields of arts and culture. He has also urged for the exchange trips between the journalists of the two countries.
This is the first time Cambodia's prime minister had met the Thai ambassador since he has arrived back in Cambodia on 24th August 2010, after being absent for 9 months when he was recalled by the Thai government in November in protest against Cambodia's appointment of fugitive ex-Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra as Prime Minister Hun Sen's economic advisor.
