In the 16 years from 1994 to 2010, Singaporean companies have invested $US570 million, mainly in the tourism sector such as hotels, in textile sector, in agriculture sector such as corn, potato, tobacco, sugar and fruit farms and electricity sector, reports everyday.com.

These figures were announced by National Assembly President Heng Samrin (pictured) during a meeting with the Singaporean ambassador, Mrs. Tan Yew Van at the National Assembly building on Monday morning at the end her three-year ambassadorial tenure in Cambodia.

Mrs. Tan Yew Van said that a Singaporean business delegation is due to arrive in Cambodia this week. She said Cambodia will chair the upcoming Asean Summit and AIPA (Asean Inter Parliamentary Assembly), so this is a good chance for Cambodia to attract Singaporean businesses to Cambodia.
