There have been conflicting reports about the state of Prime Minister Hun Sen's health after he hasn't been seen in public since he had allegedly been infected with swine flu on 25th June, reports Radio Free Asia.
Many officials close to him have given conflicting reports about the state of his health. Some aides said he was suffering from swine flu, while others said he was suffering from an eye infection derived from an injury he sustained during the Khmer Rouge regime 35 years ago.
Mr. Prak Sokhon, Secretary of State attached to the Prime Minister's Office, said on Saturday 10th July that Mr. Hun Sen has recovered from his illness, but refused to elaborate what sickness he is suffering from.
Mr. Cheam Yeap, a senior MP from the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), said on Saturday 10th of July that Mr. Hun Sen was suffering from an eye infection, but said he has not received any detailed information about his illness. And on Tuesday 13th July, he said that he had received information that Mr. Hun Sen had gone to seek treatment in Singapore.
Officials from the ruling CPP have assured the population that Mr. Hun Sen will appear publicly for the first time on 17th July to attend the multi-national Angkor Sentinel military exercise jointly sponsored by Cambodia and the United States.
Another close aide, Om Yintieng, said Mr. Hun Sen has fully recuperated from his illenses. “I believe that the health of Samdech Hun Sen, both the [swine] flu and the eye problem will be cured and he will be normal again”, he was quoted by everyday.com as saying. Mr. Om Yintieng added that Mr. Hun Sen will travel to Singapore on 20th July to receive treatment for his eye infection.
Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, cannot elaborate on the condition of Mr. Hun Sen's health, but he said the reason Mr. Hun Sen did not convene the weekly meetings of the Council of Ministers was because there is no agenda to be discussed.
Mr. Hun Sen's absence from public view has alarmed the opposition parties, with Mr. Yim Sovan, spokesman for the Sam Rainsy Party, insisting on Tuesday that the government provide details of Mr. Hun Sen's illness to the public. He said, in a democratic country, the population must be informed of the state of the health of their leader. If the Prime Minister is not well, then a new person must be appointed in acting capacity to continue the government's works, he said.

Maybe he did not suffer from any illnesses, or maybe he is nearly dead from the illnesses already. Maybe he was suffering from full blown AIDS because slept with too many women, including high class prostitutes. The more he stay behind the curtain, the more people are going to say a lot of things about his health, including speculations about his death.
Hope ah kwak traitor will die soon.
