A couple, who was arrested in Siem Reap on 3rd July over the bomb attacks on Bhumjaithai party offices on June 22, have been handed over to Thai embassy officials on Monday 5th. At around 11am, the plane carrying the couple landed at Thailand's Suwarnnabhumi Airport. According to Mr. Long Visalo, Cambodia's Secretary of State of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the couple had admitted that they carried out the attacks. However, when they were led to the plane, both screamed out in tears that they are not the terrorists and masterminds of the attacks, but admitted that they were members of the pro-democracy red shirt movement. They said they will be sentenced to death if they are sent back to Thailand. Cambodia, however, said it has no plan of extraditing ex-Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra back to Thailand if and when he set foot on Cambodian soil.
