Cambodia has on Wednesday night swiftly rejected Thai media reports that Cambodia was involved in supplying weapons as well as sending fighters to help the red shirt protesters topple the Thai government, reports everyday.com.

Mr. Koy Kuong (pictured), spokesman for the Cambodian Foreign Ministry, angrily rejected the allegations as completely baseless. "Cambodia completely rejects the allegation that Cambodia smuggled the weapons and sent fighters from Cambodia to Thailand. It is completely untrue", he said.

He added that Thailand should not scapegoat Cambodia for its own political problems. "If (Thailand) have not ability to control turmoil inside its own countries, don't blame its neighbours", he said.

He said Cambodian weapons are only for the defence and protection of Cambodian territories. "The weapons that Cambodia has are only for the protection of Cambodian territories. So, the accusations from the officials in the thai government are unacceptable and we utterly deny these allegations", he said.

In the aftermath of the burning in Bangkok, a Cambodian worker was arrested and accused of burning the buildings in Bangkok. The Cambodian government said the man was a legal worker working at a beverage shop nearby the burning building and said he has denied burning the building.
