Thank you for posting news of our book and the world awards we have received in February 2009. I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to amend some points of the article as they are not accurate at all. Thank you in advance for your help.
1) My mother's name is Sorey Long (family name is Long). My name is Kanika Linden (family name is Linden). We are both co-authors of the cookbook.
2) At this stage, the book is in French. It is in the process of being translated into English. Therefore no title has been thought of yet. You can simply say that "Au Pays de la Pomme Cythère" litterally means "In the land of Ambarella" (and not Apple Ambarella). Again, bear in mind that no title has been thought of yet for the English version.
3) There were more than 6,000 participants, not 600.
4) My mother compiled the recipes.
We co-wrote together the book, checking quantities, ingredients. We edited, proofread the book.
I took all the food and ingredients pictures, was in charge of the printing and acted as publisher.
The graphic design was done by Jérome Jaymond (Cambodia).
5) Khmer food is not spicy as such, it is aromatic, varied, abundant in fruit and vegetables, fish. Kroeung, aromatic herbs and prahok, subtly combined, bring out the flavours and give the true taste of Cambodian food.
Many thanks in helping us promoting Khmer culinary traditions and food. In advance, thanks for your assistance in amending your post.

Dear Kanika,
Thanks for the additional information and the corrections. The article was written by using information from Radio France Internationale. RFI wrote your mother's surname as Ly and your surname was written in Khmer which makes very hard to re-translate back into English. RFI put the number of participants as 600, not 6,000.
However, the article has been corrected and amended and all additional information provided has been included. Thanks and good luck.
