It's going to be a busy summer for L.A.-based psychedelic Cambodian pop band Dengue Fever. In May, the group will embark on a world tour that includes stops in Scandinavia, Germany, Vietnam, Turkey, the UK and China. The tour will also include three American shows—one in Chicago on May 21, one in Athens, Ohio, the next day and one in Costa Mesa, California, on May 29. Dengue Fever just wrapped an exhausting stint at SXSW, at which the sextet managed to perform eight shows in only three days. While there, the band also recorded sets for college radio stations such as New Jersey's WFMU and University Of Minnesota's Radio K. The band is currently recording and demo-ing a follow-up to last year's DVD/CD soundtrack, Sleepwalking Through The Mekong.
