World Khmer Radio is an online radio broadcasting from the United States which is increasingly very popular with listeners. WKR was launched by former Radio Free Asia's staff, including Mr. Sam Borin and Mr. San Suwidh, who were sacked in late 2009. Its daily programs cover news, events and interviews related to Cambodia and Cambodian people. Its program on 17th Feb 2010 include interesting news about Vietnamese authority confiscating farmlands from Khmer Krom.
However, the most interesting segment is an interview with Ruom Ritt who is King-Father Sihanouk's penpal who incurred the ire of Prime Minister Hun Sen for writing critical articles of Mr. Hun Sen's general and border policies which appeared in Sihanouk's monthly bulletin called BMD. After Hun Sen publicly chided Ruom Ritt with his usual profane language, King-Father Sihanouk was forced to end his relationship with Ruom Ritt indefinitely.
