THE Cambodian Small and Medium Industries Association is due to sign a rice-export agreement with Lithuania and Latvia for 480 tonnes, a representative of the organisation said Wednesday. Secretary General Outh Renne said the small business association had already exported 144 tonnes of 10 percent broken rice so far this year at US$700 tonne. Of that total, 96 tonnes went to Poland and the remainder to Germany. The latest shipment would be sent in the middle of next month, he added. “We’re hoping the association will get more agreements with partners to raise rice exports from Cambodia,” said Outh Renne.
