There are reports that the last surviving brother of the late Cambodian dictator Pol Pot had just died, reports Deum Ampil.

Saloth Nhep, the 7th child and Pol Pot's youngest brother, died at the age of 84 on 4th February 2010 at his home in Prek Sbov village in the province of Kamong Thom.

Saloth Nhep, who claimed that he didn't know that Pol Pot was his brother when he became Cambodia's Prime Minister in 1976, said in several media interviews that Pol Pot, whose birth name was Saloth Sar and whose murderous policies led to 1.7 million deaths, was "a gentle boy" who even refused to kill a chicken when he was young.
