The Phnom Penh Court has been unsuccessful in its attempt to mediate and reconcile the divorce case of singer Meng Keo Pichata and Gen. Moung Khim, deputy chief of justice police at the Interior Ministry.

Earlier reports cited Gen. Moung Khim's infidelity as the main reasons, with singer Meng Keo Pichata's camp claiming that Gen. Moung Khim's womanising and him having too many mistresses as the main reasons behind the divorce.

Now, Reaksmei Kampuchea has reversed the trend when it claimed that it is singer Meng Keo Pichata's infidelity which was the main reason for the marriage troubles which led her to a file for the divorce from Gen. Moung Khim.

According sources close to Gen. Moung Khim, their marriage has been rocked since October of this year when Gen. Moung Khim went to attend a conference in South Korea. When he returned home, he noticed that his wife had changed and always leaving home early in the morning and returned home late at night. Other than this, Gen. Moung Khim noticed that a man had telephoned to talk to his wife every night.

Gen. Moung Khim quizzed his wife about the man, but she just said that they are only acquaintances. However, when he insisted that she swear the truth, she got very, very upset. The sources added that Gen. Moung Khim has found out about the identity of the man, but he kept his silence because he does not want the divorce because of the children.

Singer Meng Keo Pichata's camp said that the reasons of the divorce are due to Gen. Moung Khim's gambling addiction and his infidelity and his other debauchery. They claimed that, while remain married to Meng Keo Pichata, Gen. Moung Khim maintains a number of mistresses.

Singer Meng Keo Pichata, 36 who is the fifth wife of Gen. Moung Khim, has been married to the general for the last five years and they have 2 children together. She has reportedly filed for the custody of their two children and has reportedly solicited the help from the Council of Ministers (Deputy PM Sok An?) in her divorce against Gen. Moung Khim. She has also reportedly requested the court to evict Gen. Moung Khim from their luxury mansion.

Yes, I remember Gen. Moung Khim splashed the fish sauce at the face of Angkor Thom magazine's journalist because he had written something to the dissatisfaction of his wife, Meng Keo Pichata.

Now the wife and husband are fighting like cat and dog, even going so far as asking for the help of the Council of Ministers.
