They got rich not because they work hard, but because they steal from the Cambodian nation and the Cambodian poor. Their salary is not much, how can they afford a $500,000 car and a house more grand than the White House?
exactly what we khmers need. more rich khmers. but hopely they stay in srok khmer and create jobs. i'm sure the poors can not create jobs or make srok khmer better in the future. its these kind of people that can help or destroy srok khmer. the more rich khmers the better.
This is what Cambodia does not need. These children of the elites are getting rich because their parents have stolen the from Cambodian nation and the poor Cambodians.

The salary of an army general like Gen. Meas Sophea and a salary of a member of parliament is around less than $2000 a month. How can Gen. Meas Sophea afford this grand mansion and able to give his son and daughter more than half a million dollars each to spend as they want?

I think every leaders deserve some pie especially from year zero. I use to believe like you but since I have kids and know more things and care for srok Khmer Future more . The argument is not about we need these rich kids or not, but about how and where they got the money from because it's the sources of their money that creates current problems of poverty and social ills in Cambodia. It does not matter if these kids stay in Srok Khmer and create jobs. If they continue to hold such behaviors and support corrupt practices of their parents and cronies, we're gonna see the problems getting more severe.
So young rich kids, earn yourselves credits and respect (not only among the locals, but also internationally)for doing good for the mass and the country. After all it's your people and your country, isn't it? Do you care? I do!

they did get rich thru businesses. that is what some of them said on an article. we should not discourage them not to be ruthless when it come to khmers making money. we khmers need more rich people even tho thru little corruptions and at the same time move srok khmer to the future. it is not that they take the money and run to other country and built a mansions there. these were all happen in srok khmer. am sure these riches people aren't stupid enough not to help srok khmer in the futures.
one day after the generation of corrupted government have died, their children will be worthless to the society, their properties will be reposessed and violated by another corrupted govenment. since those rich kids are spoiles and poor educated. for that reason why the corrupted governement sent their children to usa, new zeland in hope they've sent them to a safehaven before their fortune melt down like a rushed iron and their children turn from a wealthy pple to a homeless.
Not all are going or willing to be that stupid to eat dirt. We only need 1 off 5 of good kids but if we have only 2 rich kids then we srok Khmer are screwed aren't we? I don't think 439 is Khmer.Real Khmer don't use the term leeches against Khmer. It's reserved term to yuon only.!!!

these rich people hordes that money in foreign banks and foreign countries. most of mr. hun sen's., sok an's and other corrupt officials' money are hidden in foreign banks somewhere in switzerland or singapore, not used to develop cambodia.
they can be ruthless in making their money as long as they don't steal from the cambodian nation or earn their money in a way that impede the development of cambodia like through corrupt land concessions or illegal logging and land-grabbing etc.
