By Khmerization

A Cambodian national was detained by Cambodian police in Poipet for allegedly spying for Thailand, reports everyday.com.

29 -year-old Choup Sovan, an employee of Casino Tropicana in Poipet, was arrested at 2:30 pm on Friday 13th of November while he was taking pictures of the convoy of Thaksin's supporters travelling to meet him in Siem Reap. During questioning by police, Choup Sovan said that he was ordered by a Thai man named Pachai, who is Chief of Administration of Casino Tropicana, to take pictures of the activities of the red shirted Thaksin's supporters in Cambodia so he can report it to Thai authority.

On Wednesday 11th, a 31 year-old Thai man named Siwarak Chothipong, was arrested for espionage for allegedly stealing Mr. Thaksin's and Mr. Hun Sen's flight schedule and passed it on to a Thai diplomat, Kamrob Palawatwichai, who was then expelled by Cambodia.

On Saturday 14th, the Thai military had angrily denied a Cambodian newspaper report that one of its army officer by the name of "Manit" had been arrested in Siem Reap for espionage.

If reports of the arrests are correct, it would bring the number of people arrested in Cambodia for espionage to three people to date.
