Lack of coverage of the current nationwide fines, registration and licensing of motorbikes

Dear Khmerization,

I am usually very satisfied with the range of news stories that your website covers and the range of sources you draw from.

I am, however, concerned about the general lack of mention of the current police crackdown on non-licensed private motor vehicles across the kingdom.

I would regard it a public service for websites such as yours to be addressing an issue that affects all of us. Information about which is scarce and mostly sketchy.

Thank you for your energies to allow the rest of us some voice.

Dear Ric,

Thanks for alerting me to your concerns on the lack of news coverage regarding of the current police crackdown on non-licensed private motor vehicles across Cambodia.

Blogs such as Ki-Media or Khmerization are run by us who live thousands of miles away from Cambodia who are also very busy people. As such, these sorts of things seem irrelevant to us and therefore, due to our limited resources and time constraint,
they fail to attract our attention.

This is not to say that they are not important news. But, due to time constraint, we do not have the resources to dedicate our energies to these sorts of news which we believe should be covered by local media such as The Cambodia Daily or The Phnom Penh Post.

However, I did post a report by the Xinhua News and The Cambodia Daily.

Your suggestions and ideas are valuable and will be taken on board. Thanks!

Khmerization
